I haven’t seen this since I was in school, but I seem to remember drawing parallels between The Lottery and the military draft. Can anyone else see any comparisons? I thought the film was timely considering the Vietnam war. Am I wrong? I haven’t seen the film or read the story in about 35 yrs.!

We read, in the university(Turkey), this popular and sad story of Shirley Jackson’s. It’s certainly a masterpiece and great.

omg we read this and watched the movie in class the other day and we did a lottery of our own before we read it and noone knew wat it ment lol dont worry, noone was killed
